Since everybody is blogging about the meeting I'm gonna get my lazy ass up and join in ^^ But, let me warn you, it's going to be kinda...detailed...and long...
When I first heard about the Worldtour I thought Wow, this is a really cool thing. It would be amazing to meet those guys and started to get excited about the whole thing. Simply because it seemed like...somethings really generous for them to do. And so I began to hope that $
spyed and $
Heidi would choose to come to Germany...
And they did!

Yeys!
However...I totally underestimated the impact this meeting would have on me. Sounds strange, but that's how it is. And I get the feeling that many people who attended feel this way
When I arrived at the Brandenburg Gate there was already a bunch of people waiting (admittedly I was a bit late due to work) so I looked for =
Andy-K and his cute girlfriend (the pink girl, as everybody said

) to join them. No minute later I already had a name tag on my jacket and $
Heidi came over to say hello to everyone (we did take a foto with 3 or 4 other people then - `
Lilyas postet it).

Just a bit later $
spyed came to meet us as well and told us about how he wanted the official fotograph to look like (group hug ftw

) and then left again to greet someone else. Taking the picture turned out to be kinda fun and the result is stunning! I

it!

After the shot we went over to Tiergarten where $
spyed pondered whether he should climb that lion statue to give a speech or not (Sadly, he didn't. Would have been an awesome sight if you ask me) and then went on to some meadow where everyone stopped. $
spyed talked for a bit and then told everyone to get in groups based on what kind of an artist they were (e.g. photographer, writer,...), but since I do quiet everything I didn't really know where to go *laugh* Fortunately =
Lisl89 shared my thought so the two of us got together, later on joined by some more people, among them ^
Grandchild and his cookies (which kinda is where that whole madness started

). Everyone easily started to chat a bit and it was really a surprise to me how well we all got along, despite the fact that we had never met before and DIDN'T talk much about dA at all. Finally the cookies lured =
travisk to our group as well and he decided to join us for some time. I have to say: it is amazing to have met you, Travis. I really enjoyed talking to you!
When $
Heidi walked around and randomly gave (threw) away some emoticon stressballs I had the luck to get the

-one.

LOVE

We took some photos with it and the cookies (and I still demand to have a category for cookie art *laugh*) and had some more fun.
Eventually the first group came back from $
spyed 's introduction of the new features and I decided to join the next group since I was starting to get really curious about that stuff.
And damn.
This is going to be amazing, let me tell you that! I really can't wait for the new features to be launched. At the beginning, when #
hq was started I was kinda skeptical about the whole group-thing...but after hearing him talk about what this is going to be...I want

I think the groups will be really good, especially for people like me, who do different kinds of art...I'd be able to join groups of different styles and let them see what I do in that field...so that people who maybe wouldn't look at my gallery because there's now more photos in it and they want to see drawings, get to see my work. It's gonna be interesting...
Also the new search engine is freakin' insane!!! It's gonna be my new favorite toy as soon as it launches

It was really inspiring to see $
spyed talk about all this because he seemed to be really happy about it himself and really enjoying to talk about it...it kind of made me want to be a part of dA even more...I can't really put it into words...but it it was like you could feel all the heart he and everyone else working on the page put into getting these things started...thank all of you for making this possible for us, the users

By the end of the explanations and talk (and me getting to take a foto with $
spyed
) it started to rain a bit, but it wasn't that bad yet, so after asking if they'd still hang out in the Tiergarten =
Andy-K , his girlfriend, =
Lisl89 , and me decied to go and grab something to eat (cherry pie for me

). When we got back the group was moving back to the Brandenburg Gate so we joined them there and since $
spyed was introducing the features to the last group we just decided to hang around and talk a bit more. I also forced $
Heidi , =
travisk and $
spyed to sign my emoticon stressball.

Thanks again for that.
At that time =
Lisl89 decided to go on tagging random deviants with written emoticons and after a while everyone got used to her sticking little papers to their clothes

.
Since it started to get colder by the minute we decided to go somewhere warm.
I just remember =
travisk 's slightly puzzled facial expression when about three people told him something along the line Well it's cold, but at least it's not snowing.

But, honestly, it isn't THAT bad in Germany...ususally. At least I don't remember we ever had snow in June...but well...thunderstorms and hail do the job *laugh*
However, the whole group (we were about 35 people at that time, I think) headed towards the Potsdamer Platz since one of us had spotted a café near there big enough to hold us all, but apparently the staff there had no interest in making money since they send us away saying that it would be too much trouble to clean up the dishes we would use (Yeah. Not that they would have made quite some profit, but who needs money anyways...). So we stepped out in the rain again and went to Sony Center which at least has a roof. No closed walls, so it was still cold, but we didn't get wet at least.
We sat down and ordered food and drinks...everyone at our table ordered hot chocolate, except $
spinegrinder who went for mint tea with fresh mint...which ended up to be a glass of hot water with half a garden stuffed into it. Looked really funny

But it really felt good to drink something warm

After a short while =
travisk joined us again and after he ordered some hot chocolate as well (I still feel like hitting that waiter with something heavy...) and some talking he started to whistle tunes from old tv series or cartoon shows

I think we were really bad at guessing *drop* But it was fun non the less...we also talked about dreams everyone had recently and got the idea to start a Dream Group, as soon as this feature is launched, where people can talk and write about their dreams and also make art out of it (drawings and things alike)...I think this one's really going to be interesting, especially with the end-of-the-world-kind =
travisk talked about or my weird zombie-stuff

. While we were at that topic $
spyed suddenly popped up next to our table and randomly took some photos with a new Sony camera someone gave to him and looked like a kid who had just gotten the best Christmas present ever when he showed everyone just how awesome this camera was compared to the one he got from Sony (and though I have no clue about what a good camera needs to be like...the photos this thing took were amazing

). Eventually he sat down at our table as well and we continued to talk about the group things and I don't even know what else...
Unfortunately, when I took a look at my watch I noticed that it was time for me to leave and since everyone else wanted to head to yet another location I decided to say goodbye to everyone. I went inside to pay for my drinks and went over to $
Heidi and =
travisk to tell them I was going. $
Heidi went like Oh, she has the hug-emoticon! (I mentioned :devlils89: tagging people xD) and gave me a hug

and =
travisk as well. Made me so happy

On my way out I caught $
spyed and hugged him goodbye as well (yeah, I know, I sound like a groupie...but I can't help it. Those guys are just TOO awesome).
So, as a kind of conclusion: If you have the chance to attend one of those meetings GO THERE!!! In Germany some people travelled hundret of kilometers and said it was very well worth it. I would never have thought that this would have such an impact on me...I just moved to Berlin so I'm really happy that I got to know so many great people I'll hang out with in the future for sure...also $
spyed and $
Heidi are definitely among the most amazing people I ever met...I thought they'd be nice...but never to that extent...spending time with them and all the fellow artists and seeing how much they love what they're doing was a truly inspiring experience.
From what we said, there may even be a kind of follow-up meeting of the Berlin people (which would be totally cool) and my watchlist is now about 10 or 15 names longer...
Oh, and we still need to create that custom Berlin-meeting 'cold'-emoticon...

ps: 1652 words. Wohoo xD
pps: *
daf-shadow just told me he bought a domain with cookie porn in it's name xD so everyone who knows that running gag and wants a mail adress....
